Senator Goje’s Aide Debunks Report Of Defection To ADC

By our correspondent

News circulating on social media has it that falsely former Gombe State Governor and serving All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator, Danjuma Goje, is set to defect to the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC).

But in a press statement signed and made available to journalists, Special Assistant to Senator, Ahmed Isa Kashere has debunked the claim describing it as a “baseless disinformation” orchestrated by Goje’s political opponents.

Mr Ahmed Isa Kashere pointed out that Goje recently attended the APC national convention and has been actively participating in party activities at the national level, demonstrating his commitment to the party.

“Senator Goje has not quit the APC, nor does he intend to. This disinformation is nothing but mischief from those who seek to undermine his reputation and contributions to the party”, the aide emphasised

The fake news comes amid political realignments ahead of the 2027 elections while Goje’s loyal participation in APC events underscores his steadfast allegiance to the party, Kashere asserts.

“It’s not surprising that the mischievious elements resort to using mushroom media platforms to disseminate such baseless claim and this is not the first time and not only on Goje but several politicians battle the same thing especially as election approaches,” he noted.
